Every Spring, I look for new poison ivy plants in my backyard, neighborhood and walking trails.
This April 2026, I saw quite a few poison ivy and more poison oak plants. Here are a few photos.

Poison ivy on the ground and in bushes
Here are photos taken in April 2026. The poison ivy plants photographed here were growing on the ground among other plants. Some were growing isolated as well.

Poison ivy on the fence
The poison ivy plants photographed here were growing as creepers. They climb on these fences when winter is out.
These photos were along my walking trails in Fairfax, VA.

Poison oak along with poison ivy
I saw more poison oak plants this year. They were bundled along with the poison ivy plants, mostly on the ground.
You can identify them by the more rounded edges.
