Colorado State says IE more secure than Firefox

The State of Colorado's Office of Technology (OIT) Skills Management website really loves Internet Explorer to the extent of labeling Firefox an insecure browser.

They say on their website:

Note: The MySkills Tool currently requires Internet Explorer 6 or greater for proper operation.
DO NOT use FIREFOX or other Browsers besides IE.
It has been decided that Mozilla based, non-IE browsers pose a security risk.

Wow, thank you Colorado, for this wonderful revelation! I am way more enlightened than I was 5 minutes back. I should really uninstall Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera and start using Internet Explorer.

More in their Questions and Answers section:

Can I use Firefox or another Browser?
No! For security reasons, and some significant processing issues as well, the only supported Browser is Internet Explorer Release 6 or later.

Ah, significant processing issues, thats the real reason. Some lazy developer they hired decided to just make it "IE-compliant".

When I tried to send a feedback on their Feedback page, this is what I got:

Server Error in '/SKILLS' Application.

Are they hosting it on some Windows XP machine in the attic? Check it out yourself.

I wonder who decide this.. chuckle. I went to the website and I got this message:

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment regrets that this service is not available at this time.

I wonder if someone drove a truck through IE's backdoor???

You need think about it. Despite the emails, the overwhelming evidence showing global warming is happening hasn't changed.

"The e-mails do nothing to undermine the very strong scientific consensus . . . that tells us the Earth is warming, that warming is largely a result of human activity," Jane Lubchenco, who heads the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told a House committee. She said that the e-mails don't cover data from NOAA and NASA, whose independent climate records show dramatic warming.
